CFedSIn 2007, Tyler was one of only 69 Professional Land Surveyors in the United States to be certified as a Certified Federal Surveyor (CFedS). The original 120 persons accepted into the new course administered by the Bureau of Land Management was the Beta test group for the CFedS program, intended to provide a pool of private Land Surveyors qualified to perform federally authorized surveys under BLM supervision on Indian tribal lands.
